How to Fix Canon MP258 Error Codes ?

Canon MP258

MP258 Error Code there are two types of codes:

1.Using the first letter P

P02 (Carriage Error)

•  Make sure no objects stuck in the printer roll.
• Clean and check encoder, who knows in contact with splashes of ink.

P03 (Line Feed Error)

• Check the timing disc sensor is to the left of the printer
• Check and cleans its board

P05 (ASF Sensor Error)

Try changing one of then following parts:

• ASF / PE sensor unit.
• Motor
• Main Board

P06 (Internal Temperature Error)

• Clean the inside of the printer MP258
• Change Main Board 

 P07 (Ink Absorber Full)

• Reset Printer Canon MP258 using Software.

P08 (Print Head Temperature Rise Error)

• Try changing Color cartridge.

P09 (EEPROM Error)

• Try to reset by using the software.
• Replace Main Board.

P15 (USB VBUS Current)

• Try Change Printer USB cable.
• Replace Main Board

P20 (Other Hardware Error)

• Replace Main Board.

P22 (Scanner Error)

• Replace Scanner.
• Replace Main Board.

2.Using the first letter E

E04 (Cartridge Problem)

• Unplug and Plug the Cartridge again.

E05 (Cartridge Problem)

• Unplug and Plug the Cartridge again.
• Replace the Cartridge.

E14 and E15 (Cartridge not installed correctly)

• Unplug and Plug the Cartridge again.

E13 and E16 (Ink has run Out)

• Press the STOP/Reset  for 5 to 15 seconds. Wait until the led display Proceed.
